Belgian Football Association and Boondoggle launch new national football competition

Belgian youth and amateur football is one of the liveliest cultures in our country. Now, as part of a project to work with the Belgian Football Association to increase player and supporter enjoyment even further, Boondoggle has come up with ‘Best of Belgian Football’, a totally new national football competition, that you can follow in real-time on a brand-new mobile platform. 

Best of Belgian Football, abbreviated to BBF, invites players and supporters to provide a quote for every match they attend, based on the atmosphere at the ground, the spectacle of the game itself and the respect shown by the teams and the fans. The BBF score applies to both teams, encouraging the beautiful game to be at its best, both on and off the field. So, with BBF, you don’t need to be goal-scoring champions to win the competition. 

The mobile platform that is accessible via the BBF app is where every aspect of BBF comes together: supporters use it to enter their BBF scores and to find out everything there is to know about their favourite clubs, teams and players of all ages, at a national and provincial level. 

Best of Belgian Football is also an endless source of interesting content. It is part of a long-term partnership with Het Laatste Nieuws and Sudpresse. For example, you’ll be able to find out whether the Thomassens have scored more than the Roelens, who scored the first goal of the weekend and whether women receive more yellow and red cards than men – or not so many. 

Finally, BBF also comprises an important social aspect: over time, the app will broadcast ‘live reports’ from every match, by sharing photos and video clips from matches in real-time. With just one goal in mind: making Belgian football even more enjoyable for everyone than it already is.
