Marc Wilmots and Vital Borkelmans personally receive advertising award for ‘The Devils Challenges’
Yesterday, Boondoggle was awarded a number of no less prestigious EFFIE Awards. The EFFIE’s only crown those campaigns that can boast highly convincing efficiency ratings. By rewarding ‘The Devils Challenges’ with a bronze EFFIE the jury praised the striking way in which the campaign united the whole country behind the Red Devils, in the meantime proving that you don’t necessarily need a traditional media campaign to win an EFFIE.
It was remarkable to see that national coach Marc Wilmots, his assistant Vital Borkelmans and KBVB CEO Steven Martens personally came on stage to accept the award, underlining the KBVB’s unique marriage of sporting excellence and commercial results.
Winning awards for creativity as well as for efficiency is the ultimate achievement in advertising. Leuven based agency Boondoggle did it, and even more than once: ‘Ketnet Moves’, its campaign to support Ketnet’s move to a new TV- channel, won both a CCB award and an EFFIE.
