Warre Beufette challenges you to invest, with Trends and Boondoggle Havas

Trends launches the Trends Investors Challenge, an online stock market game that allows people to invest with fake money (everyone gets a virtual budget of €100,000). The winner of the game, the one who has made the most profit, can win 10,000 real euros. Nothing is stopping you from starting to invest.

This is also the starting point of the campaign: “Nothing is stopping you from learning to invest.”

To convince everyone to participate, Boondoggle Havas has developed an extensive multimedia campaign centered around the character of Warre Beufette.

He is an experienced 94-year-old investor with a strong temperament and a sharp sense of humor, completely AI-generated. The technique: an animation of an AI-generated visual brought to life using driver videos based on real actors, both for voice and facial expressions. “In the videos, Warre Beufette reacts with his characteristic humor to the various excuses people have for not investing. Any resemblance to one of the world’s most famous investors is, of course, purely coincidental,” says Michaël Nevejan, Brand Manager at Trends and Kanaal Z.

We always try to work with the latest techniques when they allow us to make a bigger impact. As we did before for Beobank and Fnac. It was once again a fantastic adventure where everyone, together with the people from No Computer, R.A.F, and La Vitta E Media, pushed the boundaries. And for Trends, this was a true ‘Change the Game’ campaign.

The campaign will roll out via TVC, OLV, radio, OLA, magazine ads, and daily press. Not to mention the extensive digital component, with multiple online video versions specifically designed for each target, numerous SoMe versions, and banners.

The Trends Investors Challenge is free for everyone to join, from 24/03 to 01/06, at beleggerschallenge.be. “Join NOW,” as Warre Beufette says.
